The sea is the best along north coast however beaches and the provided service are not as good If you care about the quality of stay you need to visit private beaches yet expect not to be satisfyingly served Water facilities are not the best too If you like local markets you will like the city if not i don't recommend as it's too crowded in high seasons

Marsa Matrouh city presents a compelling alternative to the North Coast due to its affordability and the abundance of beautiful, pristine beaches. In addition, there is a wide range of activities to enjoy and delectable cuisine to savor. I highly recommend considering Matrouh, particularly for families seeking an enjoyable vacation destination.

    Avoid in summer.

Avoid in summer. Best beaches ever, but try in September end, as in summer it gets super crowded, annoying and not enjoyable at all. City needs lot of development and investors to build nice and affordable resorts.

Marsa Matruh itself which is 35km from the hotel we were staying at is a den for Islamic fundamentalists, salafis and moslem brotherhood. It is not a place to be visited. Jazz hotel is in Almaza Bay which is totally separate from Marsa Matruh.

THE CITY IT SELF WAS NOT THAT BAD, BUT THE PLACE WE STAYED IN"Chalets in Porto Matrouh Families Only" IS A SHIT HOLE, SEE ATTACHED PICTURES. ALL OF THE DRAINS IN THE ROOMS WERE CLOGGED UP AND WHEN WE ASKED, THEY TOLD US TO CLEAN IT OURSELVES, VERY DIRTY, FILTHY, FULL OF ROACHES AND ANTS, EVERYTHING IS SO CORRODED, CEILING IN BATHROOM HAD HOLES FROM REMOVED COVERS, EVERYTHING IS BAD IN THIS PLACE, IT'S REALLY A SHIT HOLE, GARBAGE, I DON'T KNOW HOW ELSE TO CONVINCE YOU, BUT PLEASE DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SICK FROM THEIR FILTH. MOHAMMED MOOSA WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL..ALSO THE LOCKS IN THE MAIN ENTRY IS VERY EASY TO BE PRIED OPEN AND THERE IS NO LOCKS ON THE PATIO DOORS. VERY VERY VERY BAD PLACE TO STAY IN. THE BEACHES ARE SOOOOOO CROUDED. IF YOU'RE USED TO THE UNITED STATES BEACHES, YOU WILL HATE ALL THE PUBLIC BEACHES.

The staff are very helpful and hospitable by nature... a fine representation of the renown Egyptian hospitality. The Hotel is part of a 5+ hotels resort with great landscaping and a wide variety of restaurants all accessible to guests of any hotel within the property. The Beach is exceptionally amazing; Turquoise blue waters, clean and soft white sands, water sports, music vibes, food & beverage served, and even celebrating kids' birthdays by the beach. The pools were just a cherry topping.

Traveling from Cairo to Matruh, we arrived overly late for dinner, but the manager of the restaurant, Ziad Muhammad, graciously arranged an assortment of dishes to be sent up to our room, so, after a long day of travelling, we felt in comfort. Returning from Siwa to Matruh, the Hotel manager gave us the pleasant surprise of an upgraded room, which allowed us to enjoy the magificient view over the Corniche and the Mediterranean. Thanks for that!

The best hotel in Marsa Matruh, it's a really nice place, the breakfast was great, room was clean and had everything you need. The location is perfect near city center. Best part was the owner who is extremely friendly and really likes his city, he gave me a lot of details about things to do and see in the city and closeby. I stayed there several times.

I liked the beach lifeguards and the overall beach atmosphere . I had a great stay at this hotel! The overall experience was very nice, with a few minor issues that were quickly and professionally resolved by the management. Mr. Amir in particular went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay, and I would definitely repeat my visit again.

Simple hotel with unintentional character and vintage feel. No bugs or mosquitoes. Good cool room temperature in the height of summer. Excellent Iocation and space with big balcony overlooking the sea right on the corniche in the centre. Clean beds and modern clean shower and toilet and toiletries. Great Egyptian music always coming through window

The staff needs more training about welcoming and accommodating students the guests. There was booking’s error from the vendor however the manager could not give any partial credit even though something like that could be accommodated easily in UsS hotels. Caring about bringing the client back was not of any concern.

The water is fabulous in Matruh and the beach is clean, however it’s little bit small, the staff is great and very friendly and supportive, the food taste was very good, rooms are very comfortable and totally new, the location of the hotel is unique and almost in the center of the city and near to the corniche

the varieties, quality, service and hygiene were outstanding at the main restaurant. Ihab, the GM, is a remarkable management example. He had been around all time which is something not that much seen in Egypt's hotels/ resorts. The staff is so disciplined, cooperative and in strong adherence to hygiene.

The hotel is okay. The location and the rooms are good. It has a private beach but be aware it’s not directly on the beach. You need to cross the street to enter the beach, 5 minutes walking. The staff are trying to do their best and they are nice
