We were pleased there was a vegan option. We always take our own spread, but it would be helpful for other vegans/dairy intolerant if it was stated clearly beforehand that vegan spread isn't available.

It’s winter so much of the town is closed however for hikers and the like, it’s an excellent time to visit.
In the summer, Charmouth can be very busy, especially the beach., but iconic beach, beautiful setting.

We stopped for a week and I could definitely have stayed longer, money allowing. I really like Charmouth. We went the first time probably 10 years ago and wanted to go back. I was not disappointed. I only went for fossil collecting, and came back very happy.

Wonderful beach for fossil hunting.
Wonderful beach for fossil hunting. Make sure you visit the discovery centre on the beach to check out tips on fossil hunting. Staff are very helpful.
Charmouth is very small with 2 great pubs and a fish and chip shop so evening meals are limited . Bookings needed for The Royal Oak, but we'll worth it. The George equally great for a relaxed meal.

On a sunny day, you would not want to be anywhere else!
On a sunny day, you would not want to be anywhere else! The sea is shallow and warm. You can walk along the coast, paddling most of the way , to Lyme Regis. There are also many inland footpaths. In the village itself there are a couple of lovely cafes and a couple of pubs. A lovely place to visit.
The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the original artwork. The owner provided a fan when requested and it helped on the days when it was hot and humid outside. The owner thought of everything a traveler might need. The Jurassic Coast bus comes every hour and provides comfortable transportation from Charmouth, to Lyme Regis and beyond. It stops at Fernhill Hotel which is on the same property.
Perfect Stay! Started on arrival with ample easy on-site parking at this beautiful B&B. Perfect location with short walk one direction to the beach and short walk other direction to pubs, restaurants and shopping. Spacious room equipped with everything we could possibly need. Friendly owners with helpful recommendations to enjoy area, who serve up a delicious breakfast. Highly recommend!
Gorgeous Granny Flat was perfect for me (Gorgeous Granny) and two of my grandchildren to stay. We went fossil hunting and paddling on Charmouth Beach and the girls played in the sheltered garden. They loved their upstairs loft bedroom. I liked the quiet and privacy, and everything worked.
Excellent location for Lyme Regis & Charmouth, also great for touring as situated on A35
The staff we met were very welcoming particularly Alison(hope spelt right) at reception/store, who was brilliant, very friendly & knowledgable about the local area.
Very friendly and helpful staff at the holiday park, excellent location close to charmouth and Lyme Regis but far enough away to be quiet.
Very clean and well appointed caravan with all the little bits and bobs you might need including a pint of milk.
Modern and well appointed, thoughtfully decorated. Great facilities. Fabulous breakfast. Host was friendly and accommodating and met all our needs. Located close to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this B & B.
A truly special cottage in an amazing location. Well equipped, cosy and comfortable. A place to totally unwind and switch off. On the doorstep of Golden Cap, Charmouth and Seaton, so many places to walk and explore locally.
Fantastic, quiet location, handy for Lyme Regis and Charmouth. Unexpectedly excellent arrival package (some dry goods, including tea bags and coffee; and milk in the fridge). Bonus selection of board games and jigsaws.
Handy for all parts of Charmouth including shops and eateries. Diverse rooms; large kitchen and dining area , handy snug and good seating area of good size in main lounge. Outside pergola area was an asset.
Beautiful far reaching Dorset Countryside views! Lovely little suite with everything you could need! Helpful and friendly hosts who know their village so well. Thank you!
Lovely quiet location, cosy accommodation and beautiful views. Centrally located for both Lyme Regis and Charmouth. (We enjoyed the coastal path down into both.)
Cosy, well-located nook perfect for a weekend break in Charmouth. Loved having a woodburner and the welcome pack of local goodies was very appreciated b
